MCP Census and Glama
Glama publishes a public registry of MCP servers. The MCP Census checks public evidence and returns PASS, REVIEW, BLOCK, or UNKNOWN. A Glama listing is not a Census decision, and we do not copy a Glama score.
| Glama | The MCP Census | |
|---|---|---|
| What we read | On 15 October 2026 the title of glama.ai/mcp/servers was “Open-Source MCP Servers – 98,824 in the Glama Registry”. That count is theirs, not a Census measurement. | Live totals come from /v1/stats. This page does not freeze a Census total. |
| Operator | Their terms of service say the service is provided by Glama LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company. The same terms define “Registry” as Glama’s public directories of MCP servers, MCP connectors, and related integrations. | Jaco Veldsman, Australia. |
| What we do with their catalog | Glama operates its own registry and, per those terms, its own services. | A nightly job can record that a Census server appears in Glama’s public catalog. That flag is a citation. It is not Glama’s quality score, and we do not present it as one. |
| Policy decision | Not a Census PASS, REVIEW, BLOCK, or UNKNOWN. | Yes. Public evidence only. Not a malware scan and not a hosted gateway. |
Use Glama when
You want their registry and the services they run on glama.ai. Read their terms for what those services include. This page does not restate claims from pages that did not load on the check date.
Use the Census when
You want a named policy and an evidence trail you can open. Being listed on Glama does not raise or lower a Census decision by itself.
